Saturday: Couer D'Alene, classic cars and random road trips

In my personal opinion, one of the greatest things about Tyler is that he is one of the most easy going yet sporadic people I've ever met. Case in point, this Saturday's completely unexpected, unplanned trip to Couer D'Alene when we had originally been thinking Moscow Mountain and the Saturday Farmer's Market. However, as we got headed in that direction Tyler was all, "How do you feel about going to Sand Point Idaho?" and then when we got to Couer D'Alene, "How about we check this out first?" We never made it to Sand Point, but we had the most amazing day in Couer D'Alene. When we got there the streets were packed with people and classic cars, as the 100th anniversary of the Car D'Lane was going on and everyone and their mom had come out to grab some sun (and a Hudson's burger) and check out the cars.
We tried both a Hudson's burger and a Paul Bunyan burger, and while I ultimately liked the Paul Bunyan burger the best, Ty was all about the Hudson's double cheeseburger.

After getting (probably) too much sun Ty thought we should go check out a trail we'd driven past, which ended up being the Tubbs Hill trail. Such an amazing, amazing hike! I think the pictures speak for themselves:

Now Ty and I are going to be trying our hand at some homemade Chicken Artichoke Pesto pizza, and I am desperately searching for a recipe for Cafe Lucca's delicious, mondo, honey(?) bran muffins, but probably to no avail.
